Detailed Itinerary

Day 1• Transfer from Kigali to Bwindi

Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will meet your safari guide. If time permits, enjoy a brief Kigali city tour, including visits to the Kigali Genocide Memorial and other notable attractions. Afterwards, travel through Rwanda’s scenic rolling hills and cross into Uganda via the Katuna Border, continuing to the Ruhija sector of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Arrive at your lodge in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2 • Gorilla trekking and departure

After an early breakfast, check out of the lodge and head to the park headquarters for a briefing before beginning your unforgettable gorilla trekking experience. You will be assigned a habituated gorilla family, with the trek lasting anywhere from 30 minutes to 6 hours depending on their location. Enjoy a magical one-hour encounter with the mountain gorillas before returning to receive your trekking certificate. Afterwards, meet your guide and begin your journey back to either Kigali marking the end of your safari.
